I can’t tell you how tired I am of the Cyber Monday hype.  Every year the media goes and spreads the word that Cyber Monday is the biggest online shopping day of the year.  It is complete and utter bullshit.  I’ve been working in this industry since 1996 and Cyber Monday has never been the biggest online shopping day.  If the media actually talked to someone in the industry, they’d understand that the week before Christmas week is the busiest week and that Monday is the real Cyber Monday.

Not everyone believes the hype though.  There was a great article on ABC News that talked about the fact that Cyber Monday is a kickoff point, not the biggest shopping day.  Cyber Monday kicks off the online shopping season just as Black Friday kicks off the brick and mortar shopping season.  As my man Flav says don’t believe the hype.
