About Michael Feiman
If you’ve somehow managed to stumble upon this blog, you’ve found the ramblings of one, Mike Feiman. The title, let’s call it an homage to the awesomeness that is Heeb Magazine.
I’ve worked in the dotcom game since 1996, so I’ve experience the dizzying highs and the craptacular lows of this industry. I’ve helped entrepreneurs build lasting online companies and brands and I’ve seen Nero play his fiddle while Rome burned on more than one occasion.
As I’ve been in the game for such a long time, I’ve done work for companies of all sizes ranging from small, cozy start-ups to divisions of behemoths like Mattel and Fox Interactive (formally eUniverse). Regardless of the product or the size of the company the goals are always the same. Acquire customers at the lowest possible cost and extend their life with the company for as long as you can. In addition to taking care of all of PoolDawg’s marketing needs, I also teach online marketing and customer service at Westwood College, where I impart copious amounts of wisdom and impose my will upon minds that I can mold in my image. If you really, really want to learn more about my background, you can find a more detailed chronology here.
When I’m not working, I’m almost always doing something with my wife, kids and slightly insane golden retriever. Whether it’s going for a hike, watching a flick, going to the ball game or finding the best eats in Colorado, I’m doing it with the family.
As for the Jewish thing, let’s just say it’s complicated. It will always be a significant part of my life, but with an Irish/Italian Catholic shiksa wife and two beautiful heathen children, figuring out where the religion thing works into my life can be a little tricky.
